WELCOME to our online catalog & bidding site! Horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules that are consigned ahead will be posted here prior to the sale. Consignments may show in random order until the selling order is assigned but they are open for pre-bidding/absentee bidding as soon as they are posted! Go ahead and get yourself registered to bid online if you can't attend in person!

Pre-Bidding/Absentee Bidding is open to you as soon as a horse is posted. This works much like ebay - you can place your maximum bid and then let the computer do all the work for you! The computer will set you in at the lowest bid amount allowed and then bid on your behalf by increments as needed when other bids are placed. This is a useful option if you will be in an area with poor internet/cell service on sale day, if you will be unable to watch live on sale day for any reason, or if you just find the pressure of a real time auction to be overwhelming.

Watch & Bid LIVE on Sale Day! Once we start the horses on sale day, our webcast will go live. Make sure you're registered AND LOGGED IN (your name will show in the upper right corner) then click "View Live"  You'll have real time video/audio available and bid buttons. Make sure you are registered to bid AND logged in so you will be able to bid when your favorite horse comes in!

I WON!  Now what?  If you are a winning bidder, a member of our office team will contact you shortly to confirm your preferred payment method and pick up arrangements. If you need to reach us immediately, please call the sale barn office at (240) 440-4841. While you do have to register to bid with a debit or credit card, you DO NOT have to pay with that card! You are welcome to pay cash or check (accompanied by a current bank letter of guarantee) at pick up as long as you are picking up no later than NOON on SUNDAY. All purchases must be paid for in full by Noon on Sunday. If you need to layover board your horse while arranging transport, this can be arranged with the sale office. Board fees per day do apply after Sunday.

***Please Note when you register to bid, you will need to enter a credit or debit card and Horse Auctions USA will run an authorization to validate that card. This authorization WILL FALL OFF, much like when you reserve a car or hotel room. We DO NOT actually charge your card to register but it is likely that your bank will send you a notification of the authorization. Don't be alarmed - it is NOT a charge, just an authorization that shows up as "pending" but never completes. We hate that this step is necessary but we need to be sure that our online bidders are real people, over the age of 18, with a valid payment method.  BE SURE TO READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHEN YOU REGISTER as you are bound by them whether you actually read them or not!

If you have any online bidding questions, please call/text Amber at (336) 564-7650 or (336) 564-5773. Be advised that once the auction is live, Amber generally CANNOT answer her phone so you will need to TEXT.

Legacy Livestock Auction LLC Terms & Conditions

1. TERMS OF SALE. All payments be made in full to Legacy Livestock Auction LLC. Cash, Check (with bank letter of guarantee), or credit card. A 3% Administration fee will be added to all credit card purchases. A $50 fee will be charged on all returned checks. Appropriate legal services will be obtained to secure the performance of any check given and no exceptions will be made. Under no circumstances will the purchaser stop payment of a check. In the event that a horse purchased is returned, the purchaser will receive a full refund from Legacy Livestock Auction LLC.

1A. ALL WINNING INTERNET BIDS will incur a 4% online Buyers Premium

1B. All internet bidders must place a valid credit/debit card on file with Horse Auctions USA in order to be approved for online bidding. At that time, Horse Auctions USA will place a $500 pre-authorization on that card. This is NOT a charge (though some mobile banking apps will send a notification at the time of authorization that looks like a charge - again it is NOT a charge). This authorization will fall off and "disappear" at the conclusion of the auction for all registered bidders who WERE NOT successful winning bidders. For those online bidders who are successful, this pre-authorization will be released once final payment for purchases is confirmed received by Legacy Livestock. Bidding online is the same as bidding in person and is a legally binding agreement. In the event that a winning online bidder fails to complete the transaction by making final payment to Legacy Livestock Auction as outlined in Clause 1 above, Horse Auctions USA WILL NOT release this pre-authorization but rather, will complete it and the online bidder agrees to forfeit the $500. Further, online bidders understand and acknowledge that failure to complete a transaction does NOT absolve them from the financial obligation of being the winning bidder and is aware that Horse Auctions USA reserves the right to charge the total amount owed to Legacy Livestock Auction for winning bids to the registered card to resolve the debt owed by the bidder to Legacy Livestock Auction. Should this unfortunate step become necessary, you will have all future bidding privileges online with Horse Auctions USA revoked permanently.

2. SOUNDNESS AGREEMENT. Consignor has the responsibility to inform the sale company of any unsoundness a horse may have. Cribbers, Windsuckers, stall weavers, and cryptorchids must also be identified. Mental attitudes, fears, behaviors, illness and death are not included in this agreement. There is no guarantee on horses sold AS IS or any horse selling for $1500 or less. Horses sold SOUND are subject to a veterinary examination at the purchasers expense if believed to be not sound. The exam will exclude all physical defects stated by the consignor and will be limited to the horses current condition. THE FAILURE OF FLEXION TESTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED REASON TO RETURN A HORSE. The results must reported to Legacy Livestock Auction LLC within 72 hours of sale. A written Veterinary certificate is required. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide safe Transportation and have proper facilities to maintain the horse prior to veterinary examination. If a horse is returned, it must be brought to the auction barn in acceptable condition. No new Lumps, Bumps, scrapes or bite marks. Transportation done for or by the purchaser is at their own expense.

3. PAYMENTS ON HORSES SOLD. The consignor's check will be held for three days after the sale. To insure prompt delivery of your check, be sure Legacy Livestock Auction LLC has your full name and proper mailing address. In the event a horse is returned, the consignor is responsible for paying commission on the selling price of that horse and any other sale fees incurred. The Horse will remain property of Legacy Livestock Auction LLC until these fees are paid. The purchaser will be given a full refund from Legacy Livestock Auction LLC on any horse returned.

4. COGGINS TEST. All horses consigned to the auction will be subject to a Coggins test. Blood samples will be drawn the day of the auction sale at the purchaser's expense. In the event that a horse is a "No Sale", the consignor is responsible for the expense.

6. TACK, MERCHANDISE, TRAILERS, Equipment, HAY ETC. Legacy Livestock Auction LLC does not guarantee any of the above listed items. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to examine items prior to bidding. Legacy Livestock LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Any unclaimed items by the end of the sale will be sold at the following sale as property of Legacy Livestock Auction LLC.

7. CAUTION. Everyone attending this sale agrees to save and hold harmless and indemnify Legacy Livestock Auction LLC, employees, and representatives thereof, from any and all responsibilities, liabilities, obligations, claims, or legal proceedings arising from any accident that may occur to consignors, spectators, buyers, horses or equipment for loss by fire, theft, or for injury or death to any human or animal in any way or manner.

8. All announcements made day of the auction WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER any printed materials. Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time.
