You can join us LIVE ONLINE and bid from your phone or computer from anywhere with a consistent internet or cell phone connection! Download the Horse Auctions USA app or bid directly from your browser (Google Chrome is the recommended browser for optimal viewing).
Please note that consignments here will show in random order with place holder lot numbers until consignments close and the printed catalog is finalized. Once that happens, the online catalog will be numbered in proper selling order with correct lot numbers. We do this so that you can preview the horses online ahead of time rather than having to wait until the full catalog is complete.
(You can absolutely bookmark a listing, set a reminder, and/or place early absentee bids on a horse before the final lot number is assigned if you wish. Any bookmarks/bids/reminders will stay with that horse when we assign their final lot number.)
Pre-Bidding/Absentee Bidding is open to you as soon as a horse is posted. This works much like ebay - you can place your maximum bid and then let the computer do all the work for you! The computer will set you in at the lowest bid amount allowed and then bid on your behalf by increments as needed when other bids are placed. This is a useful option if you will be in an area with poor internet/cell service on sale day, if you will be unable to watch live on sale day for any reason, or if you just find the pressure of a real time auction to be overwhelming. IMPORTANT! If you place a pre-bid/absentee bid and that horse comes into the ring with an announcement made or something visible which changes the information that was available to you when absentee bidding was open (i.e. - a horse is announced to crib or a horse comes in with a blemish/scar not noted in the footnotes) WE WILL REMOVE YOUR PRE-BID for your protection. We want you to use the pre-bidding feature with confidence and there's no need for you to get an unwelcome surprise! We do this for your protection!

Watch & Bid LIVE on Sale Day! Once we start the horses on sale day, our webcast will go live. On sale day, a little "Play Live" icon will appear. You'll have real time video/audio available and bid buttons. Make sure you are registered to bid AND logged in so you will be able to bid when your favorite horse comes in then just push "Play" and enjoy! Please note there is NO DELAY on our end - you will be bidding in real time. HOWEVER, if you are in an area with slow internet/poor cell service, this could cause a lag on your end. If you know that your service may not be strong when the sale is live, you may want to consider using the pre-bidding/absentee bidding option discussed above and then watching live. YES, if you have a pre-bid placed, you can still watch live and jump in to increase your maximum bid/change over to live bidding.
I WON! Now what? If you are a winning bidder, a member of our office team will contact you shortly to confirm your preferred payment method and pick up arrangements. If you need to reach us immediately, please call Victoria in the sale barn office at 828-368-1263. While you do have to register to bid with a debit or credit card, you DO NOT have to pay with that card! You are welcome to pay cash or check with a bank letter of credit at pick up as long as you are picking up no later than NOON on SUNDAY. You will save 5% on the Buyer's Premium if you pay by cash/approved check/wire transfer! All purchases must be paid for in full by Noon on Sunday. If you need to layover board your horse while arranging transport, this can be arranged with the sale office. Board fees per day do apply after Sunday. If final payment by wire transfer is your preferred payment method, you MUST reach out and approve this BEFORE the sale! Please contact Travis Blevins (423) 213-0026 to do so. If you will be using a credit or debit card for in person OR online purchases, it is a great idea to give your bank a "heads up" beforehand to save you a weekend call to your bank's 800 number. Cards often fraud alert at sales, especially if you are out of state and trying to get through on a Saturday to assure your bank that it is in fact you trying to use your card can be a bit of a headache! Save yourself the aggravation and give them a call on Thursday or Friday to let them know!
***Please Note when you register to bid, you will need to enter a credit or debit card and Horse Auctions USA will run a $500 authorization to validate that card. This authorization WILL FALL OFF, much like when you reserve a car or hotel room. We DO NOT charge your card but it is likely that your bank will send you a notification of the authorization. Don't be alarmed - it is NOT a charge, just an authorization. Every sale we get a frantic call from folks thinking we've charged them for registering. We promise, we don't do that! Unfortunately, in this day and time with so many scammers afoot, we have to have reassurance that our bidders are in fact real people with working cards and this pre-authorization is how we do that. The authorization NEVER completes - it will vanish after the sale. (It is lifted immediately following the sale on our end. Your bank may take until Monday or Tuesday to reflect it on theirs)
